It’s my pleasure to work with you to provide clinical support and guidance to help you resolve, reduce or eliminate your presenting issues.
Services: Individual, Couples, Group, Teen or Child and Adolescent
Online Sessions: I offer online or virtual care sessions.
About My Clients: Whether you’re experiencing grief, depression, anxiety or some other common/uncommon issue, I’m here and ready to work alongside you to help you work through your issues and come up with an effective and helpful plan to treat these issues. Behavioral issues are numerous and range from mental health conditions to addictions to thinking flaws or bad habits. I am ready to listen to you and see how we can best come up with a plan to get you back on track and possibly change your life for the better!
My Background and Approach: Maybe you want or need someone to listen, or maybe you want to decompress or speak to an unbiased third party, trustworthy professional bound by ethical and statutory codes and regulations. I’m a fully Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive clinical experience and a life long of personal experience that I feel have together equipped and qualified me to provide you with optimal humanistic, clinical care. I do believe in a multi-theoretical approach and will utilize the best approach that will match your needs, your goals as well as your presenting issues. Maladaptive behaviors stem from internal behaviors including thoughts, emotions, feelings and beliefs. Distortions manifest whenever there is a disorder or maladaptation to internal and external stimuli or events. These impact our internal behaviors and further affect how we respond or behave, which in turn affect how others respond to us. It is crucial to gain insight and greater awareness of our thoughts, beliefs and emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests: Learning how we act on our environment as well as the consequences or rewards we receive in return is also important. This is the basis for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities. I use this or related approaches along with other types of modalities to bring you a trauma-informed care, client-person-centered, evidenced-based treatment experience. My clinical experience is broad and includes over 15 years of combined academic and clinical work in different settings and with different populations. I have experience working in dual diagnosis mental health and addictions recovery centers, rehabilitation centers, halfway homes, correctional facilities, schools, youth centers, among others. I can work with you remotely using HIPAA-compliant platforms to address presenting issues including mental health concerns as well as every day issues including psychosocial stressors that need to be addressed in order to prevent social and psychological functioning impairment.
